By Miranda Boyer

The moon was not visible tonight

I had to find something in sight

What lies ahead I often wonder too

I looked to the ocean ever so blue

The winds whispered a name

As they sang a new tune

Wondering what I’d been doing

The past several moons

I tried to explain

But words failed my tongue

She said so listen for now

Until new cords are strung

When she calls you forth you have no choice

We are but pawns listening to her voice

If we play it correctly we might win in the end

Walk away with something greater, just around the bend

Try with all of your might

Deny her, leave her, and ignore the call

She remembers each moment

In spite of it all

Embrace her or love her

Even call out her name

Just smile and remember

We have the most to gain
