clocks and i got along better after the
invention of snooze
awakening to alarms
no matter how syrupy
they may be
is a lot in life for billions of us
every day
alerting obnoxious nagging
a toy
for time to play with
experimenting with our trust
dormant when day arrives
haunting consciousness
buzzing ticking waiting
for sleep to catch up
to all other forms of
clocks pretending
to be the core of time
ever attempting to regulate
our mad lives
into fat beats
keeping time with
measureless reflections
of how time
must appear
