once again

By Mike O’Connell
last time you saw yourself
you were hovering over
a puddle perhaps
where lurks a deformed reflection
wrinkles rippling
framed by brownish bits
of sacramental fauna
dissolved footprints
rising back to the sky
gray womb of thunder
clouds heavy
dispensing lightning
through the thick airs
pounding earth again
aggressive spirits sieves
serving storms
freely charged
electrically elegant
with a moon
surging seas
holding water
as long as possible
sorted misc junk
foot prints in space
wrecking the beauty
of nothingness
once again
